Extron Electronics wants its customers to get the best service possible. So, the company is introducing a certification program as an industry-recognized way to demonstrate acquired expertise related to digital AV applications.

The XTP System Certification program will be offered online to AV system designers and integrators. Based on Extron’s XTP CrossPoint Systems, the instructor-led training course will cover design and implementation of enterprise-wide digital systems.

XTP CrossPoint Systems is a signal switching and distribution system for local and remote devices. Extron says that XTP CrossPoint is a completely integrated solution for multiple digital and analog formats.

“Since the introduction of digital AV technology, there’s been a need for in-depth training and instruction,” says Casey Hall, Extron’s VP of sales and marketing. “The XTP System Certification program provides a clear pathway for AV professionals to gain knowledge and experience with Extron digital AV products, and validates that understanding through testing and certification.”

Participants are invited to attend the instructor-led training and, depending on the discipline, will sit for one of two final exams on Digital AV Technologies. Those include XTP Systems for Technicians - XTP-T or XTP Systems for Design Engineers - XTP-E. Students must earn a passing score to complete the XTP System Certification program. Participants can obtain study materials online.
