Apple’s iPad is becoming a popular method of control for homeowners and businesses alike. Now, Extron is encouraging that ease of use with its newly released MediaLink app.
Designed specifically for use with the iPad, the new app is designed to work with an Ethernet-enabled MediaLink controller, such as Extron’s MLC 104 IP Plus or the MLC 226 IP. Adding in the app can deliver control for up to 12 different rooms—as long as one of those controllers is installed, of course.
Once the system is completely set up, users can tap into (or onto) an iPad to send AV commands throughout the system, all via Wi-Fi. This provides a completely wireless control option, with a familiar interface.
Extron is now selling MediaLink for iPad through iTunes. The 99-cent download is compatible with the iPad and iPad 2.
