Keeping track of schedules doesn’t have to be a big (or pricey) production. Yes, there’s an app for that.
The newly launched When I Work app is a great tool for managers. Instead of trying to coordinate employees on paper, this app easily and neatly compiles everyone’s schedules, switches, and other staffing changes, all right inside the app.
Designed to work with the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Android devices, this app allows you to create and share schedules, find replacements, and even notify the staff of changes and open shifts.
Users will need to share an email address or text info so they can access the app. Besides getting notices, it’s great for employees—especially the ones that don’t have such a great memory. Instead of worrying and wondering, they can easily peek at the schedule from anywhere. When I Work also allows them to sign up for open shifts, make requests or ask questions.
